Condensing or desiccant dehumidifier
A condensing unit works best above roughly 15–18 °C. That is a flat, a bathroom, or a basement that is not freezing. It is the more economical class in a normal home, and heat-pump models use still less electricity.
A desiccant unit keeps working in the cold, so it fits an unheated cellar or a garage. Tell us the winter temperature of the room before you choose.
